Hot Nights, Cool Treats: Summer Lovin’ with EkoMiko candles!

Greetings from EkoMiko land! Well, it certainly was a busy spring! EkoMiko candles were a great hit at the Women of the Green Generation conference last month–with more eco stores and green vendors taking on the EkoMiko challenge and adding EkoMiko candles to their inventory! Wahey!

A busy spring is now heading into a more relaxing summer…ah. At long last, summer is here—weekend grilling, lounging by the pool, and sipping gin and tonics. Finally, some well-deserved R&R…wait a minute!

Gift Idea – The EkoMiko candle: SO Eco, SO COOL!

Spring is officially here! For many of us, this means new little green buds on the trees, yummy fresh breezes, and breaking out the open-toed sandals. (oh yeah, I mean you guys too :) .

For a lot of us, whether or not we realize it, it also means a whole new season of gift-buying is on the way: Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, anniversaries, bridal showers, wedding gifts, birthdays…you get the picture. However, don’t panic, my friend. Simply plan ahead!

For example, my mom is the best at planning for gifts ahead of time – she has always had a “gift closet” where she has cool gifts stocked on hand for all occasions. Whenever she sees something that would be a great gift, she buys it and keeps it in the closet. (you have NO idea how many times this gift closet has come in handy and made me look good, by the way).

So, I highly recommend her plan of action. Yes, I’m telling you to go shopping (YAY!), not simply as another consumerist, but as a very smart, very chic, environmentally conscious shopper. I’m telling you, the EkoMiko candle is one genius candle (sometimes I still lay awake at night thinking about how awesome it is).

When people first experience the EkoMiko candle, they always say, “What does it do?” And I say, because it’s what I find so cool about it, “You get to reuse the coconut butter wax on your skin as a moisturizer!” And they’re like, “Oooh, really?” And then they try it and they’re like, “Oh my god, this smells amazing…” And it’s a CANDLE too. Everyone loves candles, and everyone loves smelling sexy. That’s all it takes really, to be a great gift, but it gets better. Hold on.

Yes, the EkoMiko candle was highly praised recently and endorsed by Shape, InStyle, and US Weekly magazines. (I know, I can’t wait either for Prince William and Kate Middleton to get married either! I would totally send them an EkoMiko candle as a wedding gift but they’re asking for charity donations instead…which is why they RULE)
